Goodyear’s new Flexwing VersaFuel transfer hose is used to transfer many fuel types, including diesel, gasoline, oil, biodiesel and ethanol blends to help the company’s hose product distributors serve existing and emerging fuel markets. It operates at temperatures ranging from -30 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit and is available in seven diameters from one to four inches.

Steps to the Lincoln Memorial shine like a new penny, as professional pressure washers from across America clean them, using an innovative Goodyear SpiraFlow hose to assist water reclamation efforts designed to protect the nearby Potomac River. Volunteering their time, members of the Power Washers of North America “Clean Across America” campaign deploy environmentally-friendly cleaning methods to remove a long-time buildup of dirt and gum from the steps. Goodyear Engineered Products donated more than 2,500 feet of the hose, engineered with a unique, non-pooling spiral groove that breaks the seal between the hose and memorial steps, allowing cleaning fluids and dirt to flow under the hose and drain toward a reclaim system.

Goodyear Engineered Products' offshore oil hose plant, located northwest of Sao Paulo, produces Goodyear Seawing floating and submarine oil hose designed to transfer crude oil and derivatives. To improve offshore crude oil transfer monitoring and protect the environment, Seawing’s double-carcass hose is equipped with sensors that detect trouble before material can escape into the sea. The external hose provides secondary containment of the leaking oil, allowing an operator to continue loading or unloading at a terminal and then changing the hose at a more convenient stage of operations, avoiding downtime. During the Bend Radius test, a hose is inspected to ensure flexibility that will withstand the harsh offshore environment, including high waves and rapid sea movement.

SPIRAFLOW
Working together, Goodyear and Barens, Inc., have developed a new pressure washer hose designed to keep surfaces cleaner and feet drier. SpiraFlow, with its unique non-pooling hydra-channel design, allows water and cleaning fluids to drain beneath it, rather than building up behind it. The spiral-grooved hose reduces friction and wear, which can mean longer-lasting hose for end-users.
