Veyance Technologies Canada, Inc. – Quebec plant
The Veyance
Technologies Canada plant in Quebec City, was established in 1948. A former
ammunition factory, it was purchased and converted into a rubber
products factory by the U.S. Goodyear Tire & Rubber
Company, which manufactured footwear products for many years, such as
soles and heels.
Faced with ever-increasing competition from
Europe and Asia, the plant gradually diversified to make way for
products aimed at, among others, the automotive, industrial and
recreational markets.
In 2007, The Carlyle Group acquired the Engineered Products division of Goodyear. Under its new banner, Veyance
Technologies continues to operate more than 30 plants worldwide,
including that of Quebec. For over 60 years, the factory, which is
ISO9001 and TS16949 certified, has been providing molded rubber and
high-quality wire, to which it owes its reputation.
